Ocean Colour Remote Sensing of Shallow Waters of the Great Barrier Reef

This primary objective of this project is to develop an improved algorithm for determining inherent optical properties (IOPs) over optically shallow regions of the Great Barrier Reef. The outcomes from this project will provide GBR-wide retrievals of IOPs necessary for deriving geophysical products such as diffuse attenuation coefficients and euphotic zone depth.

This project is a multi-disciplinary collaboration between Curtin University, the University of Queensland, the Australian Institute of Marine Science, the Ocean Biology Processing Group at NASA, and Mississippi State University.
